ABOUT GYMOPHOBICS

Gymophobics is the brain child of Donna Hubbard. Following a career as a competitive swimmer, Donna spent more than 20 years as a Personal Trainer and developed her own unique figure improvement workout which she called Resisted Tension (RT).  She introduced RT into the first Gymophobics facility in 2003.Since then, Gymophobics RT workout has spread to more than 35 towns and cities in the UK. Each facility is owned and operated under Licence by a Franchisee who is trained along with her staff at Gymophobics National Training Academy in Stafford.

While all other Gyms offer a mix of resistance and cardio exercise, the Gymophobics workout is completely different! RT integrates resistance and Isometric exercise, the first system ever to do so. Isometric exercise restores muscle tone differently to resistance exercise so by integrating the two modalities, inch loss is achieved almost twice as quickly and with half the effort!

Since 2003 this remarkable workout has helped more than 40,000 women of all ages to achieve amazing inch loss and figure improvement..

In the spring of 2010 Donna introduced StaticRT  to Gymophobics. StaticRT is a more advanced form of RT and is the result of more than 12 months development. Aimed at fitter members and members who have been through all four stages of RT, this new workout is already producing amazing inch loss. In just 14 days since commencing StaticRT at the end of March, one regular member from Stockport who had already done well on her previous RT programmes lost another 7 inches from all the right areas!
