Charity Quiz Night - Saturday 29th Jan 2011

We are holding a charity quiz night (in aid of Cancer Research UK) at the White Hart Inn in Headless Cross, Redditch on Saturday 29th January. Tickets are only £8 and this includes a fish supper. Doors open at 7pm.

Open Week at Gymophobics Redditch (12th - 20th June 2010)

It is open week at Gymophobics this week and we have some amazing offers on!

Come down and meet the team. We will show you around our beautiful award winning premises and chat to you about your goals and tell you what we can do to help you achieve them.

On Saturday 12th June we have one of our infamous jewellery and accessory parties (9.00 - 1.00) - pop down and spoil yourself (non members also very welcome).

On Thursday 17th we have Tracey from Bone Matters with us carrying out bone density tests. If you would like to be tested, call us on 01527 453483 to book your appointment as soon as possible. Fill up a bag to help beat Cancer!

Gymophobics Redditch are running a Donation Station to raise money for Cancer Research UK – and taking part won’t cost you a penny.

All you need to do is fill a bag with good quality items and bring it to our Donation Station before Thursday 4th June.

Cancer Research UK has particularly asked us to collect:

• Clothing (ladies and men’s) • Accessories (handbags, shoes, jewellery, scarves, hats etc) • Books • CDs and DVDs • Household items

Local Cancer Research UK shops sell your items. Your bag of items could be worth as much as £30 towards their vital research! It all adds up!

15 bags = £450 – enough to buy around 142,000 glass slides to study samples under a microscope

40 bags = £1200 - enough for Cancer Research to fund one woman’s participation in a trial testing whether a drug could help prevent breast cancer in women at high risk of the disease.

100 bags = £3000 – enough to fund around 3 days running expenses of their special unit in Glasgow where promising new drug discoveries are turned into tablets, capsules or injections for people with cancer.

Gymophobics Redditch Teams take part in Relay for Life this weekend

Join us at Relay for life redditch 2010 on Sat 5th june – sun 6th june 12pm til 12pm

Relay is a fun packed day out for families and the Redditch community, with children’s entertainment, bouncy castles, live music, dance exhibitions and much more.

We will be honouring cancer survivors and remembering those we have lost to cancer whilst celebrating life and raising funds for cancer research.

Our 2 Gymophobics teams will be walking in relay and in fancy dress for 24 hours. It is set to be a really fun 24 hours and we are just praying for sunny weather as it poured down last year apparently!

The event opens at 12pm and the Candle of hope ceremony is at 9.15pm

We welcome the Redditch community to join us in our 24 hour journey! Come and support your town and community!
