Our unique Resisted Tension circuit combines gentle resistance and isometric exercise with personalised support to help you see results.
Resisted Tension is the revolutionary Gymophobics technique. It works by repetitively squeezing and holding muscles in a contracted state, combining isometric holds with gentle resistance for faster, better results without overworking your entire body.
Our circuit is made up of unique, silent air-resistance machines, with no clanking weights. It takes just thirty minutes, and because every machine targets a different muscle group, each circuit gives you a genuine whole-body workout.
Our Gymophobics instructors are trained to understand the female body, and the machines help improve bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
We carry out full reassessments every ten to twelve weeks, checking your weight, measurements and progress. It’s a chance to see how you’re tracking towards your goals and adjust your programme to keep you moving forward.
Between reassessments, your Gymophobics instructor checks in with you every three weeks to ensure you’re happy with your programme and making steady progress. Small, regular changes keep you moving forward, so you arrive at your next reassessment ready to see real results.
Our Gymophobics instructors train in physiology, anatomy and exercise at our National Training Academy in Stafford, alongside ongoing online sessions at their own centres, so they truly understand the female body at every single life stage.
They receive additional training in the menopause and its effects, so they can help you feel supported and understood at every visit.
For over 20 years, Gymophobics has helped thousands of women improve their fitness, confidence and wellbeing through supportive coaching and proven programmes.
