Blood Pressure - Gymophobics

Blood Pressure

New research suggests that blood pressure should now be measured in both arms and the higher of the two readings used to improve diagnosis and management. This is based on research based on data from 53,172 participants in 23 studies world wide led by the University of Exeter.

Dr. Christopher Clark who led the study says : “Our study provides the first evidence that the higher reading arm is the better predictor of future risk so checking both arms is the new rule”.

For this reason Gymophobics Instructors will soon be measuring both members arms in the future.
