Lung Function & Vitamin K

A study of 4,000 people by the University of Copenhagen  found that those with low markers of vitamin k performed worse on lung function tests and were twice as likely to have COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), 44 per cent more likely to have asthma and 81 per cent more likely to report wheezing.

Study author Dr. Torkil Jespersen said : “Our results suggest that vitamin K could play a part in keeping our lungs healthy”. Vitamin K is found in spinach, kale, broccoli, vegetable oils and cereal grains.
