Sleeping too little helps to pile on the pounds, regardless of age, health or size, scientists have warned.

In tests a US team found that lack of sleep leads to a 9 percent increase in abdominal fat and an 11 percent increase in unseen visceral fat around vital organs!

Dr. Virend Somers who led the team said: “Inadequate sleep appears to redirect fat to the more dangerous visceral compartment”.
